Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Kim is originally from Seoul in South Korea, but her father had such high standards for her future that he
brought their whole family to the United States. He worked very hard to put her through college and inspired her
to become a healthcare professional. She definitely got her strong work ethic from him and is very grateful for
it!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After completing her undergraduate degree at Kent State University, Dr. Kim achieved her Doctor of Dental
Surgery at Ohio State University. Following traditional education, she has undergone many types of continuing
education in order to further elevate her clinical skillset. For instance, she’s completed advanced
training at the Academy of Gp Orthodontics, including the master course, and is certified in Invisalign®.
She has completed the master course at the Center for Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry, as well as the continuum
and master series at Dental Implant Seminars, which included live patient implant surgery in the Dominican
Republic. She is also a BOTOX instructor for cosmetic and therapedic use.
Today, Dr. Kim is a member of the following dental organizations:
-
American Dental Association
-
Texas Dental Association
-
Academy of General Dentistry
-
Academy of Facial Aesthetics
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Kim has been happily married for almost a full decade; today, she has two boys named Eugene and Ian. They
are both very active, and her free time is often filled up with lots of after-school activities like swimming,
piano practice, and soccer. As for personal hobbies, she enjoys cooking and has even taken some classes! She
also regularly works out at her local gym and, of course, spends lots of quality time with her little ones.
